Swim Meet Survival Guide
The following list includes what you should bring to a swim meet...
Swimmers Checklist:
- 2 Pairs of Goggles
- Team swimsuit
- Team Cap
- Deck Sandals (“Flip Flops”)
- Warm Clothes: Sweats, Flannels, and/or Parka
- T-Shirt and Shorts
- Sleeping Bag or Blanket
- At least 2 towels per Swimmer
- Sunscreen
- Pop-up tent for shade
- Hat or Visor
- Snacks (see list below)
- Bottled Water, Gatorade/PowerAde */or Chocolate Milk (it is important to stay hydrated)
- Things to pass the time (i.e. portable electronics, puzzles, cards or whatever your swimmer enjoys)
Parents' Checklist:
- Umbrella or EZ-Up Tent (to provide shade)
- Folding Chairs
- Hat or Visor
- Sunscreen
Snack Bar:
At all Swim Meets there will be a snack bar; however, the food provided is not always the best thing for swimmers to eat. The following list is a guideline of the types of snacks a swimmer should have available at a swim meet.
Suggested Snacks:
Raisins Fruit Cups Yogurt
Trail Mix Granola Favorite Dry Cereals
Crackers Granola Bars Energy Bars
Fruit String Cheese
